Bringing Balance & Harmony

Ancient healing

The ancient healing art of Reflexology has been known to man for thousands of years. The early Indian, Chinese and Egyptian peoples first practiced it, discovering that the systems of the body  were  reflected or ‘mirrored’ on the soles of the feet- from the smallest cell to the largest organ.

Modern healing

Reflexology is a powerful natural health science that studies the relationship of the reflex areas in
the feet, hands and ears to the rest
of the body so that these areas can
be worked on with the fingers and thumbs in a manner that will lead to improved health and the maintenance of good health.

Stimulating

The reflexologist will apply pressure to minute points on your feet, to create a stimulating effect throughout your entire body. This stimulation positively affects physical, mental and emotional ailments. It works on a similar principle to acupuncture, but without needles.

Balancing

Reflexology helps to remove the blockages and toxins that are causing imbalances in your body – and in doing so stimulates the body to heal itself.

What happens during treatment?

Your first 1 hour appointment allows time to take details of current problems and previous medical history. Once the therapist has this information she will begin treatment, a firm, relaxing massage of each foot. Pressure is concentrated on the points related to areas of weakness and pain. Reflexology isn’t painful and is often described as ‘very relaxing’. Response can be rapid and energising.

How many treatments will I need?

Whilst people do respond differently,
we recommend an initial course of six treatments. This will help you to achieve balance and harmony – mentally, physically and emotionally. You are then advised to schedule seasonal MOT treatments to

maintain your body’s renewed balance
