Crawley, a town and borough in West Sussex, England, has 13 residential neighbourhoods, including Northgate. During the Second World War, Crawley was planned and laid out as a New Town, based on a principle of self-contained neighbourhoods surrounding a town center of civic and commercial buildings.
St Elizabeth Church
With a low-pitched roof above side windows that are close to the eaves, the church resembles a hall. The chancel has long side windows and a cross in place of an east window. There is only one other external sign that this is a church: a flèche on the gable. It was constructed in 1958 and enlarged in 1965.
